Earlier in the day we hung out and grilled.

Then we went and watched fireworks.

It was the first time Noah's seen fireworks. I thought he'd be more enthralled than he was. But then again, I'm not surprised that a 3 year old didn't want to sit still for 10 minutes. We were sitting on mostly empty bleachers near Central Park in Roseville and he loved to crawl up and down them. He made friends with a 9 year old boy and kept talking to him and playing with his stuffed toy dog. So we spent part of our time watching fireworks, and part of the time making sure Noah didn't fall off the bleachers.
At first though, he was sitting on my lap saying, "ooh!" and "wow!" It was one of those great parent moments where you get to share something very cool with your child. Watching fireworks without him will never be the same.
