Jesse was in town.

On Saturday, he spent quality time with Noah. Either Noah really missed him, or the visit stopped his DT's.
We saw him briefly Friday night. Noah was sad when we left because he thought that was it, the whole visit. He cheered up when he realized that we had two more days of Jesse.

Saturday Jesse got a haircut at Juut. Then I got to have lunch with Sarah and Jesse before they jetted off to have quality time with Noah. The Keathly family then met said couple at Pizza Luce for dinner before the opening reception of Jesse and Paul's photography show.

Grandma Reade took Noah home from the show so we could attend the bar after party. Next on the agenda was Hell's Kitchen for breakfast. Reade and John showed up with the kid. Jesse, Sarah and the K's rounded out the group. It was great food and reminded us how much we miss family breakfasts with Jesse and Sarah.

That was it for us. Jesse time was already over. It wasn't as hard to say good-bye this time. At least for us. When Noah yelled, "I love you!" out the window, it broke Jesse's heart.

At least Jesse is making enough money to visit a couple times a year. Right? Jesse? Right!?! It kills us to have him so far away. But we are so proud he did it. He moved where he belongs and is building a great life for himself that doesn't involve winter. Heck, we might not be there, but at least his amazing girlfriend will follow - and I'll be out another great friend.

Freaking. Heck.
