New Year's Eve Day Continuted

After we got home, the day got better. It was hard for me, being the passenger in a car on insanely icy roads. Two minutes into the adventure (in which Noah insisted I ride next to him in the back seat instead of drive) Stan almost slid into a cop car. He didn't realize how icy it was at that point. However, it didn't dissuade him from driving on a frontage road for another two miles.

Scary is an understatement. After the winter accident I endured while Jesse was driving my car (Yes, He's charming and dashing, and Lisa car bashing, I KNOW!) I am a nervous Nellie as a passenger in a car on slippery roads. Once we got on the well traveled freeway, I was more calm.

We finally arrived home and were greeted by an enthusiastic dog and Jesse. We ordered pizza and sandwiches for dinner. After the boy, dog and pizza were taken care of, we retired to watch a movie. I don't know what Jesse was thinking, but I was hoping for "Little Miss Sunshine". Stan had a different idea. He wanted to watch "The Evil Dead." Second movie in the trilogy, but damn good nonetheless. We were both intrigued, so that was the end of 2006 for all.

At 11:40 we toasted to the New Year, since Stan wanted to go to bed. After that, Jesse and the bottle of champagne kept me company as I took the dog for a walk. We made snow angels and had a great time making pathways through the new fallen snow. I wanted to leave the dog's new year's poop (since it was by the church) and leave the empty champagne bottle on a neighbor's lawn, but Jesse wouldn't let me do either (spoil sport!).

So I started the New Year with a clear conscience.

All hail the baby of 2007!
